Across Latin America there is a shared story filled with a rich cultural heritage. They have created their own identities, liberated from the bonds of a turbulent political history. As such they live with a new reality and a fresh legacy of their own making. Many of the countries are awash in natural resources and rich with diversity and emerging voices. As Al Jazeera deepens its coverage of the region, we seek out local filmmakers to connect powerful stories with the best possible storytellers.
