In Pictures: Bangladesh reacts to verdict

A man speaks to crowds at Shahbagh. Thousands have turned a Dhaka intersection into a protest camp last month demanding the execution of one Jamaat leader given a life sentence after his conviction for mass killings.
People protest in Shahbagh. Passions have been boiling over in recent weeks as tribunals have tried suspects on accusations they committed crimes during the country(***)s war for independence from Pakistan.
Police and RAB patrol the streets to keep crowds in order. At least 44 people have been killed in clashes triggered by the verdict as of Friday.
